Spring Semester Rehearsals Begin January 15, 2008

Thursday, December 20, 2007

The Stockton Concert Band resumes rehearsals on Tuesday, January 7, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in Holt Center Room 113 at San Joaquin Delta College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton.

In order to be a member of the Band, you must register for the Spring 2008 Semester. The easiest way to register is via San Joaquin Delta College’s online registration program. If you would like to receive one unit of college credit, register for Music 028 (Course No. 91481) at a cost of $20.00. If you prefer to audit the course and not receive one unit of college credit (you may earn a maximum of four credits), register for Music 128 (Course No. 67514).

If you have not previously enrolled in a Delta College class or more than two semesters have elapsed since you last attended the college, you must reapply for admission following the step-by-step directions set forth on Delta’s website.

High school students, please note: You are invited to be a member of the Stockton Concert Band and earn one unit of credit from Delta College, but you must be concurrently enrolled in your high school’s band and obtain permission from both your principal and band director. Mr. Holton will provide you with the required forms at the first rehearsal. It is your responsibility to obtain those individuals’ signatures and return the completed forms to Mr. Holton.

Questions? Feel free to contact Mr. Holton via e-mail (aholton at deltacollege dot edu) or speak with him at the first rehearsal. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have and assist you with the application and/or registration process.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early in order to secure a parking place as the lots fill up quickly, especially at the beginning of the semester. Be sure to stop at one of the kiosks near the entrance to the parking lot and secure a ticket at a cost of $.50. If you do not display a parking ticket valid for that evening on the dashboard of your vehicle, you may receive a citation from the college’s police department.
